These cookies are very tasty and filling, nutty on the outside and sweet and creamy on the inside.

Energy bites

Ingredients

  • Dates: 6 oz / 170 gr
  • Almonds: 6 oz / 170 gr
  • Walnuts: 2.8 oz / 80 gr
  • Cocoa: 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon
  • Salt

Toppings

  • Ground walnuts
  • Sesame seeds
  • Ground pistachios
  • Coconut flakes

How to prepare

  • Remove the kernels from the dates and put the dates in a pot.
  • Add a few tablespoons of water and cocoa.
  • Put them on the stove, on low heat, for 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes on the stove, pour the warm mix in a mixer.
  • Put the the almonds in the mixer also.
  • Start the mixer on low speed.
  • Then, increase the speed gradually.
  • Grind until the almonds are finely chopped.
  • At the end, add the walnuts and a pinch of salt and mix for 1 more minute.
  • Put the mix in a bowl.
  • Make them into ping pong sized balls and roll them through the toppings.
